Odersun AG develops and manufactures thin-film solar cells and modules on copper tape, which can be used to generate electricity from the sunlight. Based on its proprietary and worldwide-patented thin-film production process, Odersun is capable of producing solar modules with a high degree of form factor flexibility. The size of the module and the materials used to package the solar cells can be adjusted according to the customer’s application. The ability to combine both, functionality and design is mandatory for applications like building integrated photovoltaics (BiPV). This greater freedom of design enables more diverse photovoltaic applications and thus fosters the global use of solar energy. Odersun employs over 200 people in production, research and management in Frankfurt (Oder), Fürstenwalde (Spree) and Berlin, Germany. In cooperation with partner and investor AT&M, Odersun is setting-up a joint venture in Beijing, China. The company is member of the German Solar Industry Association "Bundesverband Solarwirtschaft", the German Construction System Association "Bundesverband Bausysteme" and the regional industry network "Solar Region Berlin-Brandenburg". |
